ENSR Asia has been selected as the consultant for the Malaysian
government's Study on Criteria and Standard
for Managing and Restoring Contaminated Land. Consulting to the
Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE), ENSR Asia will establish the
definition and framework for site assessment and remediation, and
recommend countrywide soil and groundwater assessment and remediation
standards for contaminated land.
ENSR Asia has 200 staff in 12 offices throughout Asia, including a major
office in Kuala Lumpur. ENSR, part of AECOM, is a leading global
environmental services provider.
The Malaysian government's intention of
creating of a National Register for contaminated sites, as well as its
desire to create comprehensive redevelopment policies, prompted the DOE's
decision to solicit best-in-class remediation expertise.
?We are honored to be selected for this
important assignment,? said Ng Hon Seng, ENSR
Asia's Regional Manager. ?ENSR
Asia was chosen to assist the DOE because of our extensive knowledge of
remediation technologies and standards, and our ability to work with the
local Malaysian regulatory agencies to achieve sustainable,
cost-effective solutions for Malaysia's
contaminated lands.?
