Amsterdam, 19 June 2008 --- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V.
("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") announced the resignation of Dr.
Andrei Bougrov as a member of the Supervisory Board. Dr. Bougrov has
served AMG in this capacity since its inception.
Dr. Andrei Bougrov has been a member of the Supervisory Board of AMG
Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. and a member of the Remuneration
Committee of the Board since 7 June 2007. Given Dr. Bougrov's other
responsibilities and global travel schedule it has become
increasingly difficult to keep up with the requirements of AMG's
meeting schedule and other corporate processes. Therefore, with the
regret of both Dr. Bougrov and AMG, Dr. Bougrov has relinquished his
Board position.
The Supervisory Board will, at the next general meeting of the
shareholders, nominate a new candidate to fill this vacancy. The
other members of the Remuneration Committee of the Board have assumed
Dr. Bougrov's tasks and responsibilities as a member of that
committee.
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, Chairman of the AMG Supervisory Board stated:
"We are extremely grateful for the invaluable contributions Dr.
Bougrov has made during AMG's critical public offering period and the
subsequent strategic positioning of the company."
