Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ : IOVA), une société biotechnologique de phase avancée développant de nouvelles immunothérapies contre le cancer basées sur les cellules T, et Cellectis (Paris:ALCLS) (NASDAQ:CLLS) (Euronext Growth : ALCLS - NASDAQ : CLLS), une société biopharmaceutique de phase clinique spécialisée dans le développement d’immunothérapies fondées sur des cellules CAR-T allogéniques génétiquement modifiées (UCART), ont annoncé la signature d’un partenariat de recherche et d’un accord de licence mondiale exclusive octroyant à Iovance une licence pour certaines applications de la technologie TALEN® de Cellectis afin de développer des lymphocytes infiltrant la tumeur (TIL) qui ont été génétiquement modifiés pour créer des thérapies contre le cancer plus puissantes.

Cette licence mondiale concède à Iovance Biotherapeutics l’usage exclusif de la technologie TALEN® ciblant plusieurs gènes pour modifier les TIL à des fins thérapeutiques dans divers types de cancer. Les conditions financières de cette licence prévoient des paiements d’Iovance Biotherapeutics à Cellectis aux étapes de développement, réglementaires et de vente, ainsi que des redevances sur les ventes nettes des produits TIL modifiés à l’aide de la technologie TALEN®.
