Fuel cell company Powercell did not inform the market that a potential major order in Wales had been cancelled, SVT reports.

The deal, communicated in the summer of 2023, was previously described as potentially worth up to SEK 200 million, with an initial order of approximately SEK 35 million for delivery in 2024 and 2025.

According to reports, the project was halted after only one test unit was delivered, following customer dissatisfaction.

Sverre Linton, chief legal officer at Aktiespararna, suggests that the lack of communication could constitute insider information and, by extension, a breach of the law.

In an email response to SVT, Powercell stated that their assessment is that the terminated collaboration did not constitute insider information. The reason given is that it was a framework agreement lacking guaranteed volumes.
