M. Elizabeth Cannon is President-Emerita & Professor at the University of Calgary, Associate for National Academy of Engineering and Member of Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of AB and on the board of 9 other companies.

In the past Dr. Cannon occupied the position of Interim Chairman at Canada Foundation for Innovation and Dean at Schulich School of Engineering.

She received an undergraduate degree from Acadia University and a doctorate, a graduate degree and an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary.
