Currently, Shu Kwan Ip occupies the position of Secretary of Economic Development & Labour Bureau. Mr. Ip is also on the board of 8 other companies.

In his past career he held the position of Chairman for Hong Kong Port Development Council, Chairman for Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, Secretary-Financial Services at Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Chairman of The Hong Kong Maritime Industry Council (a subsidiary of Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region), Secretary for Financial Services China (Hong Kong) Ltd. and Member of Hong Kong Airport Services Ltd.

Mr. Ip received an undergraduate degree from the University of Hong Kong, a graduate degree from the University of Oxford and a graduate degree from Harvard Business School.
