Marcel Borgers, Ph.D.
has been Chief Scientific Officer and Chairman of our Scientific Advisory Board since May 2002.
Prior to joining, from September 1969 to April 2000, Dr. Borgers was the Vice President of Life Sciences for the Janssen Research Foundation.
Dr. Borgers held the Dr. Paul Janssen Chair in Cell Biology at the University of Antwerp from 1992 to 2002.
Dr. Borgers also has served as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Free University of Brussels since 1994 and as a Professor of Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Maastricht, the Netherlands since 1991.
He received his doctorate in sciences from the University of Paris, Faculty of Sciences.
