Richard N.

In 1987 Dr. Sinkin founded InterAmerican Holdings Co. From June 1987 to October 2000, he was President of Strategies International and Vice President of the Institute of the Americas in La Jolla, California.
From 1982 to 1985, Dr. Sinkin was a Director of Texas Bank in San Antonio, Texas.
From 1981 to 1986, he was an Executive Director of the Latin American Studies Association.
In 1979, he was appointed Senior Policy Analyst at the U.S.
Department of State, Agency for International Development.
From 1969 to 1986, Dr. Sinkin was a Professor of Latin American History at the University of Texas at Austin.
He is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, the Pacific Council on International Policy in Los Angeles, and the San Diego Dialogue in San Diego.
Dr. Sinkin is a Director of the Immigration Museum of New Americans in San Diego and a Member of the International Advisory Boards of the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and the Center for US-Mexican Studies.
He received a BA, an MA, and a PhD in Latin American History from the University of Michigan.
