Daniel J. Sheehan

Mr. Daniel J.
Sheehan is an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Genworth Financial, Inc. and at Genworth Life Insurance Co. He is on the Board of Directors at Enact Holdings, Inc. In August 2020, he was appointed as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer while maintaining his title as Chief Investment Officer, a role he has held since April 2012.
From January 2009 to April 2012, he served as our Vice President with responsibilities that included oversight of the Company’s insurance investment portfolios.
From January 2008 through December 2008, he had management responsibilities of the Company’s portfolio management team, including fixed-income trading.
From December 1997 through December 2007, Mr. Sheehan served in various capacities with the Company and/or its predecessor including roles with oversight responsibilities for the investments real estate team, as risk manager of the insurance portfolios and as risk manager of the portfolio management team.
Prior to joining our Company, Mr. Sheehan had been with Sun Life of Canada from 1993 to 1997 as a Property Investment Officer in the Real Estate Investments group.
Prior thereto, he was with Massachusetts Laborers Benefit Fund from 1987 to 1993, as an auditor and auditing supervisor.
Mr. Sheehan graduated from Harvard University with a B.A.
in Economics and later received an M.B.A.
in Finance from Babson College.
