Métier

AGNC Investment Corp. est une société d'investissement immobilier (REIT) à gestion interne. La société fournit des capitaux privés au marché immobilier américain, améliorant la liquidité des marchés hypothécaires résidentiels et facilitant ainsi l'accès à la propriété aux États-Unis. La société investit principalement dans des titres adossés à des créances hypothécaires résidentielles de l'Agence (Agency RMBS) avec un effet de levier. Ces investissements consistent en des titres de créances hypothécaires résidentielles et des obligations hypothécaires garanties pour lesquelles les paiements du principal et des intérêts sont garantis par une entreprise parrainée par le gouvernement des États-Unis, telle que la Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) et la Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac et, avec Fannie Mae, les GSE), ou par une agence du gouvernement des États-Unis, telle que la Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae). Il peut également investir dans d'autres actifs liés aux marchés du logement, des hypothèques ou de l'immobilier.
