Mr. Miller joined GMAM in 1998 to establish an investment management program for external clients.
Previously, Mr. Miller was at J.P.
Morgan Investment Management from 1992 to 1998 where he worked with large corporate plans and was practice leader for the endowment and foundation sector.
Prior to 1992, he was Corporate Controller of Philip Morris Companies (now Altria Group, Inc.) and also Vice President of Benefit Plan Investments for Philip Morris, General Foods and Kraft.
Mr. Miller spent 20 years (1968-88) at Eli Lilly and Company where he was responsible for their US and foreign pension plan investments, founded the firm's medical venture capital program, and served as Personnel Director, Southern Europe.
Mr. Miller is on the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church and a member of its Investment Committee.
He is a former Treasurer of the Bison family of mutual funds.
A graduate of Princeton University, he earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
