Sandy supports the team by providing management and operational advice on current and potential portfolio companies, as a part of due diligence and post-investment value creation processes.
Sandy is an executive with over 30 years in the life sciences industry, where he has extensive and deep relationships with pharma senior R&D and business management executives, as well as the investment community.
He currently serves as chair or non-executive board member on both public and private boards.
He has been the CEO or President of five companies (four private, one public), raised over $750 million in capital, and led numerous M&A and licensing transactions.
He holds an MS in Human Physiology from the University of California Davis and a BA in Biology from the University of California San Diego.
