He is also on the board of Consortium For It Software Quality.

He previously was Director-Software Technology Program at Microelectronics & Computer Technology Corp., Manager-Programming Trends Analysis at Itt Programming Technology Center, Director-Software Process Program at Software Engineering Institute, Chief Process Officer at Borland Software Corp. and Assistant Professor at the University of Washington.

He received a doctorate from Texas Christian University, a graduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and an undergraduate degree from Eckerd College.
