PostRock Energy Corporation est une société pétrolière et gazière. La société est engagée dans l'acquisition, l'exploration, le développement, la production et la collecte de pétrole brut et de gaz naturel. L'activité de production de la société se concentre sur le bassin de Cherokee, une région de 15 comtés située dans le sud-est du Kansas et le nord-est de l'Oklahoma. La société possède et exploite plus de 2 500 puits et environ 2 200 miles de lignes de collecte de gaz dans le bassin. Elle possède et exploite également des propriétés mineures de production de pétrole et de gaz dans le bassin des Appalaches. Ses propriétés du bassin de Cherokee et du centre de l'Oklahoma constituent la zone d'exploitation du MidContinent.
