Vantage Drilling Company est une société holding spécialisée dans le forage en mer, dont l'activité principale consiste à exploiter une flotte d'unités de forage modernes et hautement performantes. L'activité principale de la société consiste à mettre à disposition, principalement sur la base d'un tarif journalier, des unités de forage, des équipements connexes et des équipes de travail afin de forer des puits de pétrole et de gaz naturel pour ses clients. Elle fournit également des services de supervision de la construction d'unités de forage. Grâce à sa flotte d'unités de forage, elle propose des services de forage en mer sous contrat. Elle fournit des services de forage sous contrat à l'aide de différents types d'unités de forage mobiles (MODU) modernes et hautement spécialisées, notamment des plates-formes autoélévatrices et des navires de forage, et ce dans différentes régions géographiques. Ses clients sont principalement des sociétés multinationales du secteur du pétrole et du gaz naturel, des sociétés pétrolières et gazières publiques ainsi que des producteurs indépendants de pétrole et de gaz naturel. Une plate-forme autoélévatrice est une plate-forme de forage mobile et autoélévatrice équipée de pieds, tandis que les navires de forage sont des navires à propulsion autonome, positionnés et adaptés au forage dans des zones isolées.
