Mr. Akman leads business development efforts by working directly with the investment professionals to help identify and source new investment opportunities.
Additionally, Mr. Akman helps manage and coordinate WCAS relationships with strategics, bankers and other members of the healthcare ecosystem, as well as sponsorships such as the Nashville Health Care Council Fellows Alumni Program.
Prior to joining WCAS, Mr. Akman worked at Quartet Health.
Earlier in his career he was an investment banker in Morgan Stanley’s healthcare group, an equity research associate on Morgan Stanley’s healthcare services team and an equity derivatives trader.
