Kelso Place Asset Management LLP
Kelso Place Asset Management LLP Investment ManagersFinance Kelso Place is a hands-on, long-term manager which invests in UK-based businesses that require additional resources to grow or that are financially, operationally or strategically challenged. They adopt a sequential approach to investing such that new investments will only be undertaken when existing portfolio companies are deemed to be stable or when they have sufficient resources available to focus on the opportunity. The firm takes majority stakes in businesses which have the potential for significant value enhancement as a result of a distressed situation or a non core position within a larger group of companies, typically seeking to invest £1-£20 million in UK businesses in any sector which have run-rate annual revenues of at least £10 million, are not performing to their full potential, have sound underlying businesses and are capable of organic growth and cash generation. Where appropriate, Kelso Place assumes executive management roles in investee companies to restore financial and operational stability and to oversee turnarounds, restructuring or operational improvements. Although they determine an exit strategy prior to making an investment, they take a flexible view on exit options. The firm seeks to appropriately incentivise management teams and employees, partnering with management teams to address short-term issues and longer-term strategic opportunities to help unlock value and maximize investee company potential. | Private Equity Investor | 01/09/2013 |
