Covert joined Catholic Healthcare West in December 1987 and currently serves as General Counsel and Senior Vice President.
He is a Director of the American Health Lawyers Association and the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.
Prior to joining Catholic Healthcare, Mr. Covert worked at the Tax Division of Arthur Andersen & Co. for 6 years.
Before joining Arthur Andersen, he was a Director of the Northern California Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Previously, Mr. Covert worked for Mercy Health System.
He has over 23 years of experience in healthcare law and tax management.
Mr. Covert received a BA degree in Accounting in 1976 and a JD degree in 1981 from the University Of Akron.
He is a Certified Public Accountant.
