MacKay, CFA MBA, is a Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at Broadleaf Partners LLC.
He is a registered investment advisor serving high net worth individuals, foundations and institutions.
He has been the Chief Investment Officer of the firm and Portfolio Manager of the Broadleaf Growth Equity Portfolio since its inception in August 2005.
Prior to launching Broadleaf, Mr. MacKay spent over fifteen years with one of Ohio’s largest, independently owned investment advisory firms.
While there, he developed and managed a research team consisting of six equity analysts and four portfolio managers and was also personally responsible for managing portfolios valued at more than $2.5 billion.
He also launched a successful family of no load mutual funds and was a key player in the firm’s overall growth, helping to attract more than $30 billion in assets under management from individuals and institutions around the country.
He is a past president of the Greater East Ohio Alzheimer’s Association and a current member of Miami University’s Farmer School of Business Advisory Board.
Mr. MacKay received his undergraduate degree from Miami University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
