Mr. Drew Herold is a Vice President and Real Estate Research Analyst at Contrarian Capital Management LLC.
He is responsible for acquisitions and asset management of Fund II investments.
Prior to joining Contrarian Capital, he was with Highland Capital Management, analyzing credits in the real estate and homebuilding industries.
His work experience also includes a term as an Associate, from 2000 to 2003, at Blackacre Capital, the real estate arm of Cerberus Partners.
At Blackacre, he evaluated various distressed real estate investment opportunities in the United States.
Prior to Blackacre, from 1999 to 2000, he worked as an Analyst at JP Morgan’s Real Estate Investment Banking group, where he focused on real estate mergers and acquisitions in the United States and Latin America.
Prior to JP Morgan, he worked as an Assistant Project Manager/Investment Analyst at Hines from 1997 to 1999, where he focused on office acquisitions on behalf of the National Office Partners joint venture between the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and Hines.
He has a BA in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania-The Wharton School.
