Mr. Edward Gibson is a Senior Vice President of Capital Management & Chief Actuary at The Empire Life Insurance Co. He joined Empire Life in February 1988 in the Individual Insurance division, and then progressed into senior roles in Group Solutions, Corporate Actuarial and Corporate Finance.
In 2008, he became Senior Vice-President and Chief Actuary, and in 2018 was appointed Senior Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary.
During his 30-year tenure, he has overseen the finance, strategy, actuarial, and risk management functions of the company.
He is a graduate of Queen's University where he received his Bachelor of Science, with a major in mathematics.
