Eric grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He received his Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters in Public Accounting in 2000 from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and his Masters in Business Administration in 2007 from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Eric was formerly a Principal at Stellus Capital Management, where he helped establish Stellus’ energy private equity investment platform.

Shaw & Co., where he provided equity and debt capital to middle-market energy companies.
Eric began his career at Simmons & Company International, where he provided investment banking advisory services to energy industry clients.
