Stephens, CFA MBA, is a Chief Investment Officer & Principal at Goelzer Investment Management, Inc. He oversees the firm’s investment philosophy, portfolio management strategies, and research.
He joined Goelzer in 2014, joined the Leadership Team in 2022, and became Chief Investment Officer in January 2024.
Prior to joining Goelzer, Mr. Stephens was the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Westminster John Knox Press (WJK), an academic publishing firm.
He was also a member of the executive staff at WJK, creating and implementing corporate budgets and strategic plans for the firm.
He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Louisville.
He holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Hanover College.
Gavin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
