Mr. Gregory C.
Allen is a Chief Executive Officer & Chief Research Officer at Callan LLC.
He oversees the firm’s fund sponsor consulting, trust advisory, database, client report services, operations, and all research and education groups, including global manager research, alternative investment research, capital markets research, and the Callan Institute.
Mr. Allen is a member of the Callan Management Committee and Institute Advisory Committee, as well as the Investment Committee, which oversees all of Callan’s discretionary multi-manager solutions.
He is also a member of the Callan Board of Directors and is a shareholder of the firm.
He joined Callan’s San Francisco office in 1988 as an Analyst where he focused on capital market research, asset allocation and liability analysis, and manager structure analysis.
In 1993, he took over Callan’s Operations and Capital Markets Research groups where he oversaw the complete redesign and implementation of Callan’s database management and performance measurement systems.
In 2000, Mr. Allen was promoted to Director of Research, and in 2007 was promoted to President.
He took on the Chief Executive Officer role for the firm in 2017.
He earned an MS in Applied Economics and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
