Prior to his career in the investment business, Mr. Given worked in the computer software industry for eight years.
In 1980 he founded Given Systems, Inc., an investment management software company which he sold in 1983 to Monchik-Weber, Inc. (a publicly owned software and consulting company).
He received his undergraduate degree from UC Davis School of Law and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
