Dr. Hannoosh holds a BS from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and MS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT.
His graduate work focused on advanced materials including metals, polymers, and ceramics.
He received a minor for his doctorate from the Sloan School of Management and graduated from the Clark University Executive Management School.
In 1980, he joined the Norton Company, a world leader in advanced ceramic materials, as their director of business development where he developed and led commercial businesses based upon both silicon nitride and zirconia ceramic materials.
In 1987, he founded and was President of CERBEC, Inc., one of the world’s first successful advanced ceramic materials companies which produced silicon nitride bearing components.
In the 1990s as General Manager for North America for Companie de St. Gobain, he led all advanced ceramic businesses.
After leaving St. Gobain, he worked closely with several venture capital firms such as ARCH Venture Partners.
Dr. Hannoosh has been with American Bailey Ventures since 1997 and led Atlantis as its CEO from 2000 until 2003.
The company's accomplishments during that period included the development of a comprehensive, cost effective design and manufacturing process including Virtual Abutment Design and a non-exclusive, worldwide distribution agreement with Zimmer Dental.
He is currently responsible for business development activities for Atlantis and leads the effort by the company in the development and commercialization of the world's first all zirconia custom abutment.
