Jim Evans is currently a Venture Partner at SCP Partners with over 23 years experience in real estate related businesses.
Prior to joining SCP Jim was a founder and Executive Vice President of CRBE Realty Finance, a commercial real estate specialty finance company that primarily focuses on originating, acquiring, investing in, financing and managing a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate-related loans and securities.
Jim came to CRBE Realty Finance in 2004 after working at firms such as Security Capital Group, Equity Group Investments and Greystar Real Estate Partners where he raised /participated in equity offerings totaling over $2.75 billion.
Prior to his experience in fund raising, he worked at Chemical Bank and Copley Real Estate Advisors, where he lent or invested more than $1 billion of capital in a broad range of real estate products and markets.
Jim earned a BA from Suffolk University and has completed coursework towards an MA degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University.
He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and Pension Real Estate Association.
