Dr. Johannes J.
Reich is Partner at B. Metzler seel.
Sohn & Co. KGaA. He heads Metzler’s institutional equities business.
In this role he is responsible for the bank’s equities trading and equity advisory for international institutional clients as well as its equity research.
Besides his role as Head of Metzler Equities he is also responsible for the bank’s equity strategy.
In October 1996 he joined the bank as Head of Equity Research.
Prior to this he worked for two years in Morgan Stanley’s European equity research department in London and headed the equity research department at Morgan Stanley Bank AG in Frankfurt.
His first role in institutional brokerage was at M M Warburg & Co in Hamburg in 1990.
Before moving into institutional brokerage, Mr. Reich was a Senior Research Fellow for six years at the University for Technical Sciences at Aachen and at the University of Bamberg.
Prior to this he worked for one year on a nuclear waste disposal project at the Karlsruhe Nuclear Energy Research Centre.
Mr. Reich graduated in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Karlsruhe and completed his doctorate in Economics with a thesis on the finance and insurance of nuclear waste management.
He is a member of the German Society of Investment Analysts (DVFA).
