Mr. John A. Paulsen, CFA MBA, is Vice President & Head of Research at Stonebridge Advisors LLC.
He joined in April 2015 as Head of Research and is a senior member of Stonebridge Advisors’ Investment Committee.
He brings substantial direct experience and knowledge of the global banking and insurance sectors and manages a team of analysts responsible for all of Stonebridge’s portfolio investments.
For over 20 years, Mr. Paulsen was a senior financial sector analyst with various securities firms such as Sterne Agee, Gleacher & Co, CRT Capital, Royal Bank of Scotland and JP Morgan.
For six years, he served as a buy-side analyst, portfolio manager and trader at JP Morgan Investment Management.
Early in his career, he was a senior ratings analyst covering banks for Standard & Poor’s.
He graduated from Boston University in 1982 with a B.S.
in International Relations and Finance, earned his MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business in 1990 and is a CFA Charter holder.
