Mr. Hair In 1994 joined the private client department of Henderson’s where he worked as an assistant to the CIO, David Collingwood.
In 2002 Newton acquired Henderson’s private client department.
At Newton, John managed private client portfolios, ran the income and growth model, covered the commercial property sector and later became Head of Investments for Private Clients.
In 2013 Newton’s private client department was sold to Standard Life.
Following the merger with Aberdeen Asset Management the private client department became Standard Aberdeen Capital (SAC).
He graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business Studies.
