Whelan, CFA, is a Co-Portfolio Manager Global & Australian Equities at Regal Partners (RE) Ltd. and PM Capital Pty.
Ltd. He joined PM Capital in 2009 as a Credit Analyst and was subsequently appointed Back-Up Portfolio Manager in 2011.
In addition to credit analysis, he began covering equities in 2012 and currently has primary responsibility for the financial, industrial and real estate sectors globally.
Mr. Whelan has a background in treasury and investment banking with a focus on managing credit portfolios.
Prior to joining PM Capital in 2009 as a Credit Analyst, he worked as a Treasury Specialist with Babcock and Brown, where he was responsible for managing currency and interest rate risk.
He holds a Bachelor of Business and Finance degree from Dublin City University and a Masters of Business from the Smurfit School of Business, University College Dublin.
He is a CFA charterholder.
