He was leader of Merrill's international discretionary management team, head of US client portfolios, lead manager for Merrill's Global Funds Advisor programme for over ten years, and a voting member of the asset allocation and stock selection committees.
He graduated from Tulane University's A.B.
School of Business in the US, with Honours in Finance and Economics.
