John Sowatsky joined NanoString Technologies, Inc. in September 2005 and currently serves as Vice President of Research, Development, and Manufacturing.
Prior to joining NanoString Technologies, he was appointed as Vice President and Head of the Systems Business Unit for Affymetrix, Inc. in 1995.
Previously, Mr. Sowatsky developed medical devices with Johnson and Johnson and Abbott Laboratories.
He received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
