Mr. Jonathan M.
Shead is a Head of Investments at State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at State Street Global Advisors, Australia Services Ltd., State Street SPDR S&P/ASX 200 Listed Property ETF and State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Ltd. In his role, he provides an Australian-based investment voice for the firm.
He also provides local oversight to the Australian investment team and is a member of Australian entity boards.
Mr. Shead joined State Street Investment Management in 2000 and was a member of the global portfolio strategy team from 2000 to 2018 covering both equities and currency and serving as the Head of Portfolio Strategists for the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Shead was Head of Retirement Solutions, Australia, and was responsible for leading the development of retirement thinking and investing in Australia.
He has over 37 years of experience.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Shead worked as a Senior Asset Consultant and as a Superannuation Actuary at NSP Buck Proprietary Limited.
He received his Bachelor of Economics by Macquarie University, Australia, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
