José is a Principal in the Energy Infrastructure team.
He joined Actis in 2020 to focus on the execution and portfolio management activities in the energy and infrastructure sectors, covering the Americas region based out of the São Paulo office.
Most recently, José contributed to Actis’ investment in Omega Energia, a leading renewable energy platform in Brazil.
Before joining Actis, José worked as a senior associate at Mubadala Capital, where he executed transactions in the toll road and real estate sectors.
Before that, he helped build and divest Veritas Educational (Advent International’s education platform) and co-founded GEO Capital, a global equity fund based in Brazil.
José started his career in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in São Paulo.
José holds a BSc degree in Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) and is a CFA Charterholder.
