As an Investment Analyst at Village Capital, Joe works on finding entrepreneurs outside of traditional venture capital hubs and helping them to prepare their companies for investment.
He’s particularly passionate about working with companies that provide solutions for underserved populations.
Joe joined Village Capital by way of Kiva, where he worked on a team that provided social enterprises low interest lines of credit.
He’s most proud of growing the team’s presence in Malawi, where there were no partners prior to his joining.
Before that, he worked for The Nature Conservancy and The International Potato Center in Lima,Peru.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys backcountry backpacking, fishing, and cooking.
On summer weekends, you may find him trying to catch fish in the alpine lakes of Washington.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Washington.
