Dr. Danziger is currently serving as Interim Vice Chancellor for Research of the University of Illinois at Chicago as well as professor of pharmacy practice, Co-Director of the Section of Infectious Diseases, College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice.
Prior to his appointment as the Interim Vice Chancellor, Dr. Danziger held the position of Associate Vice Chancellor for Research from 1999 to 2007.
In this position, he was responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of the OVCR, including research compliance, sponsored research project administration, human subjects and animal care protection and conflict of interest and commitment.
Dr. Danziger has both a B.A. in History and B.S.
in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois.
While earning his Pharm.D.
from the University of Cincinnati, he completed a residency in hospital pharmacy at the Cincinnati Veterans Administration Hospital.
Dr. Danziger is an elected member of the Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacists, the Infectious Disease Society of America, and the Surgical Infection Society.
He is also a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Society for Microbiology, and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
