Mabel Wong is a Partner Advisor of Power Sustainable Lios.
Mabel is an experienced finance executive, with an extensive track record in chief financial officer and strategic partnership roles.
Mabel spent 15 years at Brookfield Asset Management, most recently as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Reinsurance group and Brookfield Asset Management Reinsurance Partners (TSX, NYSE: BAMR).
Prior to that, she was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield’s Infrastructure private funds which held assets under management of US$90 billion.
In her various roles at Brookfield, she was accountable for capital markets and treasury, financial planning and analysis, public company and investment company accounting, risk management, and information systems.
She also has deep experience with leading team and process reorganizations, fundraising and investor relations, structuring of M&A activity, and corporate operations.
Mabel began her career in the assurance and advisory group at Deloitte LLP in Vancouver, leading audit engagements of clients across various industries such as retail, technology and natural resources.
Mabel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance and accounting from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
She is passionate about philanthropy, and recently served on the Board of UNICEF Canada as Vice Chair and Chair of the Finance & Audit committee, and on the board of the Brookfield Partners Foundation as Treasurer.
Mabel is also a champion for diversity, equity and inclusion, and held lead roles on the Brookfield Women’s Advisory Committee and the Brookfield Diversity Advisory Committee.
