Marcel Wubbolts is currently the Director of the Industrial Biotechnology Council at The European Association for Bioindustries.
He is also the Director of the WG Applied Biocatalysis at Nederlandse Biotechnologische Vereniging.
Additionally, Marcel is a Member of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society, the American Society for Microbiology, the ERA NET Industrial Biotechnology Supervisory Board, the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry's Industrial Biotechnology Section, the CatchBio Supervisory Board, and the Society for Biological Engineering.
Previously, Dr. Wubbolts served as the Chief Technology Officer at DSM NV from 2011 to 2016.
He was also an Assistant Professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Marcel held the position of Chief Technology Officer at DSM International BV.
Currently, he is the Chief Science & Sustainability Officer at Corbion NV, a position he has held since 2016 and will continue until 2023.
Dr. Wubbolts obtained his doctorate degree from the University of Groningen.
