Mario Monti is the founder of Scelta Civica, which was founded in 2013.
He is currently the Chairman of the High Level Group on Own Resources at the European Union, Chairman of the Bocconi International Advisory Council, Director of the Istituto Javotte Bocconi Manca di Villahermosa, President of the University of Bocconi, and a Member of the Praesidium at Friends of Europe.
He was formerly the Chairman of the Trilateral Commission European Group, Founding Chairman of the Brussels European & Global Economic Laboratory, Prime Minister & Minister-Foreign Affairs of the Government of Italy, European Commissioner-Competition at the European Commission, and President of the Société Universitaire Européenne De Recherches Financières.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Bocconi in 1965.
