Fernandez, CFA MBA, is Vice President & Portfolio Manager at R.

Davis, Inc. He managed and directed the investment process at the firm for many years, and now provides investment counsel and portfolio management services.
Formerly Chair of the Investment Committee, he remains a key member of that group.
He joined the firm in October 1994.
Mr. Fernandez was employed as Director of Research by UNUM Life Insurance Co of America & First UNUM L, a Principal by Kidder Peabody, and a Principal by MassMutual Life Insurance Co. He also served on the board at Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland.
He received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and an MBA from Northeastern University.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
He has been active with the CFA Institute as a grader and participant on various regional and national education programs.
