Mr. Hofmann is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hub One Logistics, Ltd. ("Hub One"), a privately held company specializing in distribution management for the food and restaurant industries.
Founded in 1995, Hub One provides customized logistical solutions for customers through its network of five distribution locations across the United States.
Recently ranked among the top ten largest private firms in Pittsburgh, Hub One continues to expand its reach with the addition of over forty international customers utilizing its distribution services.
Mr. Hofmann also serves as Senior Vice President of North Side Foods, a meat processor of pork products for the food service industry that was previously owned by Mr. Hofmann and his family.
Acquired by Smithfield Foods in 1998, the company serves customers throughout the United States from production locations in Atlanta, Ga.
and Western Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hofmann is a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a BA degree in Economics.
He has also completed studies at the Phillip Crosby School of Quality specializing in Total Quality Management and Statistical Process Control.
He is currently a member of the Warehouse Engineering and Research Council and Council of Logistics Management.
A lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Mr. Hofmann currently volunteers his time serving as a Trustee for Shady Side Academy.
