Prior to returning to HBS, he gained direct private equity and operating experience, first with TA Associates and Advent International, and later as CFO of the Back Bay Restaurant Group and as CEO of Jeepers! Inc., a private equity-financed national chain of indoor theme parks he ran for nearly ten years.
Before attending business school, Mr. El-Hage was with McKinsey & Company, Inc. He has served on a dozen boards of private and public companies, ranging from start-ups to over $200 million in revenues.
He is currently the independent Chairman of the MassMutual Premier Funds, and a past president of The Yale Club of Boston.
Mr. El-Hage holds a degree in electronic engineering from Yale and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
At Harvard, he was awarded the Henry Ford Foundation Award for the Best First-Year academic record, the Loeb-Rhoades Fellowship for Excellence in Finance, the Copeland (Marketing) Award nomination, and a Dean's Doctoral Fellowship.
