Mr. Peter Chambers is Chief Executive Officer at Legal & General Investment Management Ltd.
He joined LGIM in November 2005.
He has previously held other senior positions in fund management.
Most recently, he was Chief Executive of Framlington Group and before that he spent 5 years as Chief Investment Officer at Gartmore Group.
He began his career in 1981 at Lazard Brothers where he managed UK pension funds.
He moved to Citibank Global Asset Management in 1986 as an international portfolio manager and was promoted to be the Head of International Institutional Equity Management in 1988.
He joined James Capel & Co in 1993 as Chief Investment Strategist.
He is also a non-executive director of the Financial Reporting Council and is a member of the Supervisory Board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group.
He graduated from Sheffield University with a BA hons in Geography and from Manchester Business School with an MBA.
