Gupta is Managing Director at Taurus Asset Management Co. Ltd.
He also served on the board at Adani Power Ltd. Mr. Gupta started his career in 1969 with DCM Group at a Shop floor.
At DCM he was responsible for the modernization and expansion of Mawana Sugar Mill.
In 1979 he joined Punjab National Bank in middle Management Cadre.
Initially he was responsible for the credit appraisal for the Sugar and related Industry proposal.
In 1992 when he was the Chief Manager of a branch, he was shifted to PNB Mutual Fund as an Executive Vice President and then promoted to the Managing Director.
During his tenure with PNB Mutual Fund, many new schemes were launched and dividend payout was a regular feature.
In 1996, Mr. Gupta left PNB Mutual Fund and joined HB Asset Management Company as a Chief Executive Officer.
In 1999 when HB Mutual Fund merged with Taurus Mutual Fund, he took over the CEO of the merged identity and then became the Managing Director.
Mr. Gupta holds a degree in Engineering.
