Mr. Kost joined Gleacher & Co. Securities on its June 2010 formation, the merger that took place between Broadpoint.Amtech Equity Capital Markets and Broadpoint.Gleacher Securities.
Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Lazard in its financial restructuring group, focusing on corporate restructurings and distressed merger & acquisition transactions.
Before joining Lazard in 1999, he was a Director at Deutsche Bank Alex.
Brown in its restructuring group.
He began his career at the Chase Manhattan Bank in 1986 and held various positions in the merchant banking and restructuring groups.
His restructuring clients have included, among others, WorldCom/MCI, Owens Corning, Collins & Aikman, Budget Rent-A-Car, Republic Steel and American Pad & Paper.
Mr. Kost received an MBA degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
