Klinefelter is Chairman at Noxilizer, Inc., Partner at Brown Investment Advisory & Trust Co., and an Advisor at Brown Investment Advisory, Inc.Until coming to Brown Advisory in June of 2002, Mr. Klinefelter chaired the Private Client Services Practice Group at Piper Rudnick LLP.

In counseling wealthy clients, Mr. Klinefelter was called upon to provide advice with regard to investment assets, including asset allocation, risk tolerance and the selection of investment advisors.
Mr. Klinefelter has been active in the Maryland and American Bar Associations for many years and is a fellow and past Regent of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Mr. Klinefelter received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a graduate degree from the University of Maryland, and a graduate degree from Georgetown University.

The firm employs a bottom-up portfolio construction process that is based on the specific attractiveness of each holding. The firm's Small-Cap Growth strategy seeks to invest early and hold investments for the long-term.
