Steven Silvester joined Barclays Private Equity in 1997 from BZW Corporate Finance where he specialised in advising medium sized companies in the negotiation and execution of transactions.
He co-heads the Consumer and Travel sector and has led a number of high profile transactions in this area, including the management buy-out of Hobbs.
Additionally, he has worked in Financial Services and Support Services, leading the €56m Public-to-Private BIMBO of Nightfreight plc.
Mr Silvester has been non-executive director of a number of companies in the Barclays Private Equity portfolio, and has wide experience of buy-outs and all aspects of corporate finance.
