Kawamura Takashi est le nom d'un personnage de fiction du manga Prince of Tennis.
Serviable et poli, Kawamura Takashi est l'exemple même de l'ami fidèle. Élève en troisième année, il intègre l'équipe de tennis de Seigaku en seconde année, en même temps que Momoshiro et Kaidoh, après les autres joueurs de la même promotion. Il s'entend bien avec tous et en particulier avec Fuji, avec qui il joue des matchs de double, ainsi que Momoshiro avec qui il partage le même type de jeu.
Cette façade gentille s'effondre dès que Kawamura empoigne une raquette de tennis. Dès lors, il devient un joueur redoutable, plein d'une hargne qui surprend bien des adversaires par sa puissance et sa grogne. Alors, bien que peu soucieux des apparences, il n'en reste pas moins un excellent joueur de tennis, très dévoué à son équipe, au point de sacrifier sa santé lors d'un match contre Hyotei. Il est souvent mis à l'écart dans de nombreuses poules.
Son objectif devient très vite d'être le meilleur joueur du tournoi, et doit pour cela affronter Ishida Gin, le créateur de la légendaire technique Hadokyou.
Le père de Kawamura, restaurateur, invite souvent les joueurs de Seigaku après leurs victoires. Kawamura avait anciennement fait du karaté, où il avait rencontré Akutsu Jin. Il est l'un des joueurs de Seigaku les plus combattifs, notamment car c'est sa dernière chance de remporter un championnat national. Il a en effet promis à père d'arrêter le tennis après le collège pour apprendre le métier de maître sushi.
