Yuzo Hashimoto is Head of Active Equity Management at State Street Global Advisors (Japan) Co., Ltd. He joined SSgA as Head of Active Equity team portfolio manager in October 2004 from Nikko Asset Management.
He had been with Nikko Asset Management for about twelve years in charge of quantitative investment and quantitative research.
From 1999 to 2003 he led the quantitative investment team as Head of Quantitative Investment Management Division and in addition to that he was Head of Quantitative Research Division from 2000 to 2002.
Prior to joining Nikko Asset Management, he worked for Nikko Securities Co., Ltd in the Fixed Income Division and Equity Divisions for about six years.
He holds a BA degree in Business from Hitotsubashi University and is a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
